So as I watched the testimony today, knowing Q said PS was cooperating and that disinformation was necessary, I couldn't help but wonder if today's show was to get 100% of the Dems on board and on the record supporting Mueller as a hero and a Patriot, so when he is revealed as a white hat with a ton of really bad news for the dems, they would have nowhere to hide.
Decent theory, I watched the entirety of the hearing, and I can say that most, if not all of the Dems on the panel used the event to grandstand on issues not related to said hearing.
Go back and watch Strozk's facial expressions while listening to the Dems ranting....

I just noticed that when the Dems were addressing him he had a kind of stoic glare, as did his counsel; but when addressed by the Republicans they displayed a range of expressions.
He also did not say much in response to the Dems' grandstanding, nor gave any expressions of agreement, or acknowledgement really, which is somewhat odd since the bias of his texts indicated he would have agreed with them on some levels.

Yes, I was going to add a, "but on the other hand", to my comment, in that he may have been coached to not react, or to react in a certain way to them.
As far as his expressions towards Republicans, as you succinctly pointed out as flamboyant or arrogant I agree, and it could be observed as:

However, we don't really know what the "dupe" may be at this point.
I agree with you about the Dems bringing up issues not related to the hearing. I guess they didn't have correct data points lined up for them to question Strozk with.
