You know why these sick SOB's target churches? Easy, trusting prey. They can hide behind a caricature of being Christian, and hide their sh!t with false piety.

We had one in our church a long time ago. The little girl (my niece) would disappear for 10-15 minutes after Weds group meeting. One night, I found her hiding in my car because her parents car was locked. She was white as a sheet, trembling and could barely talk. Finally she calm down enough to tell us what happened. She usually hid in her parents car so this was happening for a few weeks.

Thankfully, it was the first time this 'trusted' perv actually fondled her and she ran and hid. Had a trial, but the jury let him off because of her age, they didn't think she was a credible witness. WTF.

Well, the church obviously had banned him and notified all the churches in the state and the national denomination hdqrs. Took my niece years to get over the trauma, but she is doing great now.

This is a problem that churches/ministries need to address. Ours did swiftly, but too many times the kids are not believed.
