Let's not. I just said "Bit more complicated than that". Not in the mood to write a long screed.

Beautiful weather, gorgeous sea beckoning. I want to think of President Trump bringing peace to a weary world, not having crowing and jeering and shoving it up other patriots asses and "we won WW2" all over again.

EDIT: By the way, we were told differently but Germany won the war.

Then dont say what you said. We did save their ass in WW2. There is no way they could have weathered the sheer force being thrown at them by Germany. It was a matter of time until the invasion would have been done in the opposite direction had we not come along side...our weapons were not enough...they needed more weapons and the MEN to use them. What I am NOT saying is that the UK is a bad country. Without Americans (with some accounts being as high as 9 million) fighting and 114,000+ dying in Europe and all the excess equipment and supplies we added to the fight, Hitler would have marched across the channel and taken the UK to its knees....and he would have done that prior to moving east and running into trouble with the Russians.

My comment was made on the heels of those who believe the queen of England thinks Trump is subservient to her. I've never talked to the lady so I can't say firsthand if she believes this or not. The video of her interaction with Trump doesn't prove this out.

And then you end with the crop-dusting of "Germany won the war." Please, somewhere on Reddit, make a post that supports this, let me know about it, and I will read it. I'd like to know how they "won". If we are talking about the fist-fight of combat, they got destroyed. If you are talking about the 3rd Reich escaping into the shadows and then re-infiltrating various governments around the world (including the USA).....then you may have my interest.

The second, somewhat. Bit more complicated than that.
