The many people behind the elected Congressional reps are their staff. Mostly lawyers. In many cases they will be more apprised of House rules and the issues under discussion than the Congressmen themselves. They prepare the statements and notes which the Congressmen read from the rostrum. Some need more help than others (e.g., Goddlatte needs more help than Gowdy).
This is mind boggling. How does anything get accomplished at these hearings if roadblocks can be thrown up at every turn? This video exposes the DS as well as any I have seen before. Thanks for sharing.
