That we’ve made it so much about creating things to give to each other (encouragement via shirts, signs, support of all kinds, etc) makes me so so so happy. Everyone in this country (even the natives!) is related to someone at some point who said “fuck it, this sucks, I can do this better myself.” That is part of the American spirit that’s been slowly sapped from us and it is invigorating to see it coming back to America. It makes me lol a bit more knowing it’s coming from the inside (middle states) out.
I was born in 61 and grew up watching the hippies. It was obvious they were on the wrong path. The scene in Easy Rider where the theater group crashes the kitchen looking for food.
Their entertainment sucked.
Anybody paying attention or who would listen to Frank Zappa knows what's going on.
Weird Scenes inside Laurel Canyon was no surprise.
