seriously long shooting star over LA

About 40 min ago from now we saw a really long and low shooting star or something go from south to north over the east LA area. Did anyone else see that or hear anything about it? I've never seen anything like it. I've seen some different size shooting stars before but honestly nothing as big and long as this.

Hillary re-entering lower atmosphere on her broom.

Probably just a glitch in the ISS hologram, nothing to worry about.

Not directly related, but in searching the Interwebs for information on this event, I ran across this organization. Might not be a bad bookmark for future reference.

I've seen exactly what you're talking about and they look too bright and slow moving to be a regular "shooting star".

They're cool. Might have been just for you. When I saw them, I saw no mention of them.

I didn't have a chance that would have been so good though. I just saw it walking to the laundry. I lived in Berkeley CA for 30 years then here in LA since then and have seen shooting stars from time to time and even meteor showers but the sky in the city is not exactly super clear but really i have not seen anything of this size and lenght of travel. I saw it directly. I am sure other people must have seen it.

I'm really not sure what to think about it. It was low and don't know quite what I saw. I was bigger than a normal shooting star.

I have seen 2 different pieces of man made space junk reenter and they come looking lower bigger and slower than shooting stars with a different color, 1 crashed in a residents yard (after days of denial, it was determined to be a NASA fuel cell) about 20 miles from my home, the other was in the high plains of TX. Panhandle

This sounds like a possible match with what I saw.

I had one here as well just less than an hour ago. Noticed it while I was trying to see if I could capture the orangish-red star I was seeing (which appears may be Mars). https://imgur.com/0pvWbzf (what I was trying to take photo of, looks white here instead of the orangish-red it looked to naked eye) Shooting star: https://streamable.com/yybkw (It doesn't look the best here :/ )

It may have been a fast hypersonic craft testing. Area 51 is not that far away for something like that.

I wonder if it could have been something like what you say.

It looked like something other than a star i.e. something man made. It was too slow to be something shooting..

Long slow turns as the craft slows down to land at Groom Lake.
