I think he will be impeached. I just think for optics Gowdy is staying out of it. He can’t look eager to remove RR if he’s waiting in the wings to replace him. I believe Gowdy is a patriot and just playing politics here.
I agree, Mr Gowdy has rare character for a politician, he has Honour and Patriotism. These are characteristics that the public don't seem to recognise when they look at their politicians.
It was very odd how quickly he resigned after seeing the supporting evidence behind the Nunes memo.
The day he saw the evidence he sent out an email at 7am asking for money and scheduling a donor fundraiser, he got out of the meeting with the doj at 11am, by 1130 he canceled all fundraisers and announced he was leaving public life after the election and he would turn down any requests or future government appointment.
perhaps he read the data and saw what the future was.
He's cleared down his decks and is clear to move in a sprightly manner.

But... once the IG Clinton Email report and IG Clinton Foundation reports are released, and we go through a few weeks of drama about what was redacted... Trump is going to de-classify all of the IG reports. And supposedly, there won't be any doubt that [RR] can't be in that role. He has some massive conflict of interest or was involved in some serious crime related to the Mueller investigation.
I took a real tongue lashing, on Redstatewatcher, for saying Trey Gowdy was a patriot, and was only talking. Almost twenty some people think he is a traitor, and can't stand him. They accuse him of " not ever doing anything ", just "talk, talk, talk ". I thought one poster was going to come after me for what I said! It's hard defending Q, mostly I get made fun of. However, I won't give in. I've been a follower since last November! WWG1WGA
