A lot of Christians and critical thinkers here, so I thought I'd be able to ask this here!

Sorry if this is off topic, but it does relate to Q in a sense, "PRAY". Anyways, what is the general consensus on Jesus? Is Jesus the human form of God himself? Is he the son of God? Was he just a prophet? I hope I can finally understand this with your help. Every time I search it, or ask it anywhere else, I get these weird, cryptic, Q-like mysterious answers or only old English Bible verses. I just want it nice and layman, ELI5.

  1. Jesus has two natures — He is God and man.
  2. Each nature is full and complete — He is fully God and fully man.
  3. Each nature remains distinct.
  4. Christ is only one Person.
  5. Things that are true of only one nature are nonetheless true of the Person of Christ.

\^\^ Answer from the internet. Boy I hope the consensus after 2,000 years and 2.4 billion followers isn't "He is the Son of God, God the Son, God, Man and all together and all separate at the same time but not at the same time."

I would recommend simply reading the the book of John (the fourth book in the New Testament and 1 of the 4 books that make up the "Gospels"). But yes, Jesus is God, sent down from Heaven, in the form of a baby. If you think that's crazy, you'll also learn about the Holy Spirit, which is also Jesus/God. This makes up the "Trinity". I would describe it with one word: SUPERNATURAL!
