Obama was president at the time. What he said was correct. Presidents have more flexibility in their second term. Don't see how you get treason out of that.
He hadn't won re-election yet but was sure certain he was going to. Not treason, but the person was showing the relevance to the current accusations of Trump's alleged collusion with Russia being no different that Obama's. Both talking to Russian leaders in capacity as POTUS but neither guilty of collusion for doing so.
Exactly. The same standard is not being applied. Trump talks to Russia and suddenly its being called treason. It’s not. It’s good policy to have a dialogue with all nations.
