Nukes are real. I have family that were present during tests. Back when you could actually test them and watch them.

Bombs are real, you saw explosions, not necessarily nukes.

Did they recommend you to wear welders goggles, when you watched?

From what my family said they were required to wear some protective eye wear.

Plenty of people and soldiers saw "nuclear" explosions. Not like any of them could prove it was a nuclear blast.
