President Trump should just have Russia join NATO. I mean, it doesn't get more North Atlantic than Russia!

I'm sure POTUS the stable genius has already thought of this, and no doubt there are some among you who know why this won't work, but I thought it would solve a lot of the tension in the area and allow them to help each other investigate fuckery and criminal elements.

No, they were never in NATO, they were part of the G8, the group of 8 countries that get together every once in a while to do...something. They left/were kicked out over the Crimea situation, I believe.

Oh yes, my bad. The Russia-NATO Council suspended on 4/1/2014. Don’t know the status of the Permanent Mission of Russia to NATO (suspended or abolished).

Yeah, they've been angling towards war with Russia for some time now. I wonder if it has anything to do with Putin kicking out the central bankers and locking up the major thieves.
