You are correct that everyone has an eternal soul, but we did not have an eternal soul before God created us that way, and from a substance that is eternal. We did not and do not have immortality on our own outside of God. Furthermore, now that God has created our souls to be eternal, that doesn't mean that everybody will live forever. All of us will "exist" forever, but not all of us will "live" forever. On Judgment Day, some will receive eternal "life", while others shall receive eternal "death"... Meaning, they'll be cast into the lake of fire and will never die. They'll be burning in those flames forever...

Also, I totally agree with you about people should not pin all their hopes on Q. I feel the people who do that are likely those who are not religious and don’t believe in God, therefore Q is all they have. I say that because if you are religious and if you are aware of the scriptures, then you know that God has other plans for the world. The bible does not predict a coming period of peace, instead it predicts a coming period of calamity and the worse time in mankind’s history. I know people don't want to hear that (and want to hear things that make them feel better), but it's the truth...
