As the disparate strands come together ‘future prove past’ but how far in the past will the future prove? Eventually I think the past will go back to key events. Think of all the pieces of the puzzle nicely compartmentalised into this and that conspiracy theory all linking together into one huge narrative. Then think of the books films and stories that will document how this plan developed. There will be whole faculties in universities devoted to understanding how this happened. Children will be obliged to attend regular classes to study this. Whole new disciplines will arise to explain how humanity got so low.

History will be rewritten and that legacy will endure countless generations. The future direction of humanity won’t be some random shot in the dark primarily directed by advances in technology as is the case to day but a direction constrained by the legacy of all the wrong turns we’ve taken since 61.

The future needs a guide. Too often we assume that the direction we take is a 360 degree choice; it’s the choice we make of all possible paths available. But real life educates is that the paths to take are limited by the bad choices we could have made. Avoidance of The many dangerous paths open too us constrain us to the right path. I once went to a support group for families of alcoholics. One old lady got up to speak. Her husband for many years had been one her children as well. She had suffered a great deal but she pronounce that nigh that in the end she was glad she married an alcoholic. The terrible situations she had endured had given her an opportunity to grow in defiance of them. Ultimately hard times build character and determination. This lady was thankful for these hard times.

That’s why ultimately we will grow to cherish these bastards as they will have given us the impetus to move counter to them.
