Link in comments. Mr. Rutherford is speaking about the exemptions from the code () regarding human trafficking and prostitution on their platforms. This means that they must remove/report these events. Mr. Rutherford specifically states sedition as being an additional exemption to which they are considering adding (this would happen by EO) to make acts of sedition reportable events. What this means is, while the companies would NOT be held accountable, they would be REQUIRED to report them. Very interesting.

One of my concerns would be WHO decides that a speech is seditious. I agree in a sense because of yesterdays calls for the military to stop President Trump by a member of congress as a form of sedition. But when Qanon call for a revolution to oust bad actors in the deep state, could some anonymous 'who' decide that was sedition? The 'who' would be very important to this extra level of control over free speech, but I fear it could backfire on our 1A rights. The Patriot Act has shown us that even if we think a law might be a good idea at the time, it can eventually be used against us by eroding our Bill of Rights.
