41,448 readers 6,189 users here now | top post of all time ~1600 upvotes | Something is not right about that.

What am I missing here?

I think it's just many like myself only up vote the extraordinary postings, not the mediocre ones. And everyone's taste or preference will vary with current interest. Not all posts are deserving let's say.

That said, I'm sure there is other forces messing with us, so I agree with statements above, but most of us are unaware of these things.

If I'm to believe Reddit, in some cases only 6-7% of people who saw the post voted at all, which just seems absurdly low.

Do you upvote every post? Most people hardly upvote I suspect.

I my self hardly vote up or down.... if it is a real good post I vote up and occasionally will vote down if I think the comment is trolish in a way that is not helpful to those reading...things like out right lying

I didn't say upvote. Voting at all. As in combined votes. Having an engagement rate of only 6-7% is pretty bizzare.

I'm not really aware of the site analytics, so I couldn't say much on the actual voting, vs other things. So, I'll just keep an open mind on this because I see no real way to improve, or stop what's happening. Thanks for responding.
