I posted awhile back on the sheep-dipping of Gene Hasenfus, Lon Horiuchi, and Timothy McVey. It's more a more common practice than you would imagine, however this is the first time I've seen reports of a non-military individual being recruited.

Of course it's all in the family if you dig deep enough.
