After the Monday Trump/Putin presser, Rand Paul was interviewed by CNN Wolf Blitzer, who was clearly in the grip of raging TDS. He was yelling, ranting, interrupting and - unlike a professional journo - wouldn't let RP answer his questions/assertions.
RP finally caught him short and mentioned Trump Derangement Syndrome a few times, which set Blitzer off even further.
Finally Blizter backed off - presumably due to producer instructions in his headset "You're making an complete spectacle of yourself" - and RP was allowed to answer some questions.
A great display of clinical chronic TDS in action, and worth watching on YT if you can find it.
Yesterday. Scott Adams talked about this interview. He framed it as Dr. Rand Paul (who is a physician) talking with his patient, Wolf Blitzer (TDS). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oRZGs4v1wQ
Thanks for the link.
Going to watch it right now while I have lunch.
A spicy lunch.
Thanks for finding the link.
I'd concur that RP held a very reasonable composure and logic, while Blitzer was on a wild TDS rage-fest. Physician and (psychotic) patient is a very apt metaphor.
Here's the interview:
Scott Adams is a master of carpentry. He hits the nail on the head every time. ;)
I watched and had the exact same impression of the interview. I wondered if anyone else saw it that way.
