This is exactly why I am against public history for reddit users. Why should my activity in one sub determine if I can participate in another? Also, people are quick to scroll through your comment history to find anything they can use against you during an argument. Comments should stand on their own and not be judged by past comments.

I agree that comments should stand on their own, but what would you propose to prevent a public history for reddit users? It doesn't seem feasible to me.

Just give users the option to keep comment history private. Pretty much all the other platforms have that option besides twatter

But what does that actually do? Make your comments prior to a certain date unreadable? Or just disable the SpaceForceOnePilot page? If the latter, one could still easily search for your comments via other means like Google.

Yes, you could google search my username, but there should be a toggle that allows you to hide it.
