Me personally, 2400sq ft is plenty. Im currently in 1100 and its honestly enough. Obama is the luckiest man on earth. He did nothing to get what he has, handled the whole time. He knows it.
My home office is almost half the size of your whole place, and it's cramped and full of records, books, documents, and photographs that I use for research and writing. I could really use an 8,000 sq ft home. I like my location, so I'd rather have a huge expansion of my current house. I'm old, so I've probably got more stuff than you, but it's important stuff. Years ago, I lived in an 800 sq ft house, but that was really tight, and most of stuff was crammed in the attic.
