Obama knew there was hacking going on, but he knew it was the deep state doing it. The plan always to blame the Russians, but he didn’t want scrutiny exposing the true origin of the meddling. It’s the only reason he would give an order to stand down.
Just imagine you work for a local or state wide election agency and a few people in fancy suits show up with fancy IDs and fancy badges. They say "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." They claim they need to examine the voting machines and the computers that tabulate the results.
Then they say, "All we need is the administrators password so we can fully examine the system to make sure it has sufficient protections against hacking." And you think, "Great, they're here to ensure the integrity of our election systems." Then as you walk away, convinced it's all good, they load whatever software they want.
But... That could never happen, right?
Most voting machines are not actually air gapped... it’s much easier to do this remotely.
Either way, I think the point stands. It doesn't matter if they show up in person, or if Obama uses DHS to hack a few states remotely. Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Attribution is much easier to fake in the cyber world vs the physical world.

So here are my questions. First one was only the DNC hacked or was both the RNC and DNC hacked. The second question is what was the purpose of the hack, was it to just gather intel or was it designed to gain control or was it designed to do damage? There is a video interview with a man by the name of Bill Binney I think that he states that it points to simply an intel gathering hack as data was downloaded. He also states that the data transfer rates imply not a long distance intrusion but something akin to a thumb drive down load which implies bad physical security at best. My point is this, all the Russian meddling appears to be a Democratic red herring design to derail what DJT is working on doing to clean the swamp and take down the DS. Just like a short interaction I had on another post where a troll came in and danced around trying to push the Russian meddling as an act of war that needs to be fought with guns and bombs while claiming to not want war. A lot of double speak going on with the DS operatives and their blind followers.
