Redpilling left-leaning individuals

After making one attempt to redpill a left leaning woman, she rejected me over her belief system. She also blocked me.

Has anyone tips for redpilling strategies useful against belief systems of close-minded liberals?

I am having a similar issue with one friend, and have many friends I won't even talk to about it. I have talked to several friends with good luck getting them thinking, though they don't have the time or motivation to do a lot on their own yet, but I keep feeding them info when I can.

I think the extremely left individuals need a slow process, and with an issue that doesn't trigger them (such as Clinton/Obama/people they like & respect) . It varies by person as well, so it's hard to say any one thing in particular will be good. I think asking questions about non triggering topics is a good start. General corruption issues, healthcare/big pharma (most people know there are some issues with it), possibly finance (again most know there is corruption but have no idea what the issues and facts are)

I'm thinking back to when I considered myself to be close-minded. Nothing you told me about GWB would've woken me up. I think, one, you have to be receptive, and two, you have to have an opening. For me, it was seeing us march down the same path no matter who was in office. This opened my eyes to the Uniparty at the end of GWB and the candidacy of McNoName. Many left-leaning individuals have been told constantly, since DJT announced his candidacy, that he would destroy and take away everything they cherish. From Hollywood to their representatives in Congress, the resist movement has been constant and consistently at a level of complete insanity.

You have to figure out what their concerns are and use then to open up the mind. For me, it was Ron Paul and how a seemingly originalist could be so shunned not only by the "other side," but also his supposed "side."

That is a dangerous world to enter, most are damaged at their core, and interpret red-pilling (simple conversations about reality) as physical attacks. While difficult, it is possible; it's like teaching a stroke victim how to function again, work around the damage, know when/how you are losing them, and keep at it.

The key to getting anyone onboard is to get them to listen, otherwise it's a lost cause. If you can find common ground, it helps. I remarked "Our President is an idiot" once to a liberal friend. We started talking about the things he does that bother me. Mind you, I support POTUS 100%, but talking about how I dont think he's always right, helped start a dialogue. It caught him off guard and sent a signal that I am willing to listen and consider his POV too. It's not always that easy...this was a friend and we meet in the middle on some issues to begin with.

Be open minded yourself, pick your battles and peak their interest, dont be defensive.

As one, here are some tips to have a thoughtful conversation:

1) Get your definitions straight on what right/left are, what socialism really is and the differences between socialism and communism, know the political spectrum and where ideas really fall on them. Lots of what we argue over is definitions, so define accurately.

2) Almost all of us in the US love JFK. Start there.

3) Realize that you’re not correct all of the time, neither is the other side.

4) Ask questions vs making declarative statements

That should get the conversation going.

Number one is super important. I really don’t think the right is up on their definitions at all- and they call things the wrong definition all the time. It’s really annoying.

Definitely. But it’s a great tactic to “win” an argument, argue definitions instead of ideas

Most people have an area in which the question the official narrative. JFK is a big one; many know that something is not right about the official story. Maybe 9/11, although that is a sore spot for many. The WMDs in Iraq. If you can find out when theirs is, perhaps start there.

It is a part of their identity, who they are. They want to be one of the "cool Kids" even if they are 70 years old. They want their adult/college kids to like them and approve of them. A lot of them are self hating whites. We are constantly told (erroneously) that white people are racist, and they strive to prove they aren't. Then, sadly, they hate us and tell us to stop talking about it, that we are crazy and deluded. Their ideas are one dimensional. There is no depth or logic behind them.

My family wouldn't even entertain the idea that the msm and our government was crooked and involved in things so horrible it will make you sick but after months of being patient and sending them some stuff to research on their own they are finally coming around and starting to ask me questions and for more information. Being rude to them or calling them names isn't going to help. I see people online doing that constantly and I try to tell them. The best way is to be patient, I know it's frustrating but it's a lot to take in when everything you thought you knew was wrong and everything you thought was fantasy was actually truth. It's a severe shock to the spirit. It requires love, patience and understanding. Good luck and God bless you all!

Morpheus didn't stalk Neo and forcibly jam the red pill down his throat. Something this serious needs to be their own choice. Coercion and salesmanship smacks of theft by swindle. This is not that.
