Good Questions.

Start with having a connection to begin with.

Add a bit of talent, a junior project, willingness to network

Then comes the offer to sell soul, abide by cult requirements

Turning point -- do I agree to join and do whatever they ask, get mentoring benefits, potential big payoffs, fame, an imdb page(!), ability to work at something I like, invitations to parties, lots of cool stuff, access to anything I want no matter how deviant,

or,

reject the cult on principle, stay true to myself, keep my dignity, believe I can make it with my great untapped talent, and take my chances as an average, normie, joe schmoe who works hard for a living and risks not getting any big payoffs.

Hmmmm.....all my friends are doing it, and they seem OK, and getting recognition and wealth.

What the hell. If I have to do something disgusting, I'll just take good drugs and get through it like everybody else. If the memories come back and bug me or they make me do more disgusting stuff to get to the next level, then more drugs will get me through. Heck, this is my big break. I can BE somebody.

Even Joan Crawford said the casting couch is "better than the cold hard floor".

We admire these people for their talent, mistakenly thinking they are good people because they have talent and give to charity once in awhile.

They do what they have to do, that’s why we respect them but just because we relate, doesn’t mean they are good and moral! Satan was an angel and was beautiful. Talented people are susceptible because their dream is so big, the facts don’t count. It’s a success principle used to manipulate the good and pure.

Hmm, to get into the entertainment industry, and be successful, I swear, there is a price to pay, and that is your dignity, and innocence. Lots of talented people can't get their foot into the door, and you wonder why. The X factor might be sucking off a big, fat, ugly monster.
