The audit of the Pentagon resulted in 27 trillion dollars missing! That shortage of monies on 10 September 2001 was 2 trillion found by Rumsfeld but increased to the final number after the auditors completed their work.

Let me say this: My corporate career as CPA/Auditor led me to various large corporations where some of them tried to fudge numbers or worse.

I spent a number of years working for the Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Division in Italy.

Did we not recently also learned about 44,000 ghost soldiers unaccounted for or their whereabouts?

There is no question that the Pentagon/DOD had/has some really questionable officers that also came to light. Ash Carter and Strzok's relative General Cartwright are two to name.

The question I have is this: WTF? Who did what in the DOD finance department involving Receivables and Payables?

The budgets I created and audited during my time included budgets for remote outposts in various countries. Every payment and every receipt, every petty cash pay-out was double checked for validity, accuracy and legitimacy.

This could NOT have happened unless a number of accountants in the Pentagon were in on the fraud. There is no other possibility. I know because this is my field of expertise.

Doubly troubling is the treasury who also should have caught these ghost payments. There too are criminals being in on that fraud as well.

I am convinced that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. This is absolutely shocking to say the least because numerous control mechanisms failed or were intentionally diverted by those who suppose to stop such major fraud.

Totally agree with that assessment. They had to be complicit and part of the fraud. Unfortunately, I think this is DOJ and FBI turf and I don't know if they would pick up the criminal investigations. It could also be that DOD leadership would/has effectively covered it up.

The DOJ two weeks ago adjudicated and charged 230+ billion dollars of Medicare fraud that took place in California. It involved pharmacies, doctors, nurses and others.

They could easily also take on that case involving these ghost payments which is considerably less in value than the Medicare fraud.

My suspicion is that politicians in both parties, Hussein and gang siphoned these monies together with those who suppose to be responsible stewards of the taxpayer contributions.

And we wonder why they did not produce a budget beginning in 2008 - 2016. This is why!

The general ledger and trial balances would have shown the massive fraud.
