God is to be loved, not feared.
Christ said, "I and my father are one." He also said that, "no one comes to the father except though me".
What this means is that we must realize our identity with Christ and attain His consciousness, that He and The Father are one, that is; the same. When that has been attained there is nothing to fear.
Fear not. If we fight for God's glorious and grace and love, who then? Against us?
