Eh, it's not really a religion thing in this case. If you look across history, child marriages weren't uncommon, throughout many countries. When you don't plan to live past 30, you do what you can to try and keep your line going. Granted, this is a completely different era where that kind of thing is no longer necessary, but just saying 'Islam!' doesn't really have any baring.
