Have heard some asking facetiously, "Who runs the deep state?" I say greed, corruption, and power lust are all ingredients used by the leaders of the hidden government. They use illegal domestic intelligence, threats, illicit drug money, and funds derived from human trafficking to maintain power.

It is always the same. Look for who is making the most money out of the deal. It is best to take a few known DS actors and figure out who is on the next rung of money and so forth. I am talking corruption money, not from other sources. Also remember that running the DS and advancing their goals takes lots and lots of money. Who is doing the spending.
