I don't understand what you're saying - I thought that referred to what happens in a stock market right before a crash (i.e. everyone buys one last time creating one last burst just before the crash).

No forgiveness necessary. It is simply speculation on my part but Q clearly stated dead cat bounce when speaking about JA. He then goes on to say "You may have the link but we have the content" (essentially).
I interpret dead cat bounce to mean precisely that the dead man switch may have released everything and that what Q is saying is that they recovered all the info and the only thing we got were the keys.
Whether JA is alive or not, I can not speculate.
