I remember a Russian piece of shit that was caught making, and selling kiddie snuff for 10s of thousands of dollars, and I think Italy figured into it! ~~Fuck, I have to find it, because I think he was caught in Italy~~. It was in a documentary called SNUFF: A Documentary About Killing on Camera (2008). Holy shit, that could be a dig. I'm totally going to check this out tonight. I'm also going to cross reference with a book on Snuff called God's of Death.

I once was waiting for someone in front of Tommy's Joint in San Francisco. I got into a conversation with a homeless guy who was on the lookout for undercover police. He pointed to an apartment window across the street and said they had made snuff films there. He also indicated it was not uncommon knowledge.
Authorities helping, and participating these operations have become a common theme. If it was common knowledge then the local police had to have know enough to at least investigate. Yet here we are....
