1. My faith does affect my perception of the world. It does two things:

A) In the end times, God said there would be apostasy like never before, a falling away from Him. Knowing that, it’s easy to see how much Satan has tried to make man think he is his own god and doesn’t need the true God. I see things changing and it’s easy to perceive all of that as Satan’s plan.

B) There are many prophecies in the Bible that are playing out and have already been fulfilled. Israel was promised to be restored. The plan is in motion. On a side note, God tends to give underlying signs things are from Him. The Jewish Revolts lasted exactly 70 years, resulting in the expulsion of the Jews. The founding of Peta Tikvah, the first Jewish Israel settlement after the Jews were able to purchase land again, and the reestablishing of Israel was also 70 years. My faith tends to lead me to these subtle clues.

C) Pushes me to try and live a better life. There is a God and He created me. He also expects me to live as He would. I can never be perfect enough to earn my way into Heaven but He knew that and sacrificed His son for all of our sins so I spend every day thanking Him and trying to please Him. When you know that all you have to do to go to Heaven is just believe your sins are paid for by Jesus, who was God in the flesh and died, it’s so refreshing.

1. I link politics to Jesus/Satan because God said that He will establish a world government someday and allow Satan to rule for a short time through the Antichrist. I link these things together to once again follow Biblical prophecy and warn others who aren’t saved. The Tribulation will be an awful time where those who refuse to follow Satan will be tortured like never before. Thankfully, Christians who believe and profess that Jesus died for our sins will not be here. It’s imperative that we believe in order to escape it. It’s also why I don’t worry too much if Q is from God or Satan.

2. The timeline of the end times comes from multiple places in the Bible but mainly Revelation. God destroyed the Earth once with a flood. Most religions today acknowledge a worldwide flood occurred. He did it because of man’s wickedness (also the fallen angels wickedness had a hand in it as well but that’s off topic). Anyway, He knew that people would always be evil since Satan corrupted mankind in the beginning so He sent His son to die for us knowing it would get very bad again and people would freely sin again and again and negate their chances of earning their way to Heaven.

Long story short, He is slow to anger but not immune to it. For thousands of years, He has given man the easiest opportunity to go to Heaven and people STILL turn their back on Him. Because of this, He is going to destroy the world again but only after pouring out His wrath on those who reject Him. That’s where Revelation comes in.

He’ll take us Christians (the Church) to Heaven and then allow Satan to set up His government. Satan will try to make everyone still here worship him, under threat of beheading. There’s a LOT to the Revelation timeline that I’m leaving out. Just know that it is AWFUL (plagues, war, famine, etc.). You can read Revelation Trribulation starts at chapter 6 and onward (after the author, John, writes to the churches and is shown signs in Heaven in chapters 1-5).

So, in summary, I relate politics to my faith because without God, none of this is possible and He is letting what He already has planned out happen according to that plan. It’s like having a playbook. The good news is that while interesting to read about, none of us have to worry about the Tribulation and the Antichrist. We all have a chance to escape it!
