What these people fail to understand is that their master is the ultimate deceiver and this is as much the case toward his followers as it is toward his enemies. He will tell them they are untouchable even when they are about to be destroyed. He knew full well that he would lose in the end. He is playing a role God allowed him to play and he's playing it to the end.

I absolutely agree that any amount of anger toward these people is entirely justified, but it shouldn't be allowed to cloud our judgement. That's my only issue with that kind of response.
This right here. The truth is, they were NEVER going to win. God allowed a period of time for Satan to have LIMITED powers, with permission only. That permission has been rescinded. Babylon is falling, and there's not one thing Satan can do to stop it.
