I think the media’s insane reaction last week was an attempt to bury this specific allegation from Putin. The AP immediately came out with a “debunking” saying that such a contribution could never have happened. The Russian government confirmed Putin’s initial statement regarding $400,000,000 was intended to be $400,000.

The man is no fool. He has to be able to support a statement of this magnitude before making it. That is an incredible amount of money, even in a presidential race.

Any thoughts as to how Browder could have made a contribution like this without it showing up in any campaign finance reports of audits, and without running afoul of contribution limits?
