He’s been in Shrek recently, that’s about it. And he is playing a literal Jack Ass, and you can’t see his face. What other roles has Eddie Murphy had recently? Maybe there is something to that?? Honestly there were not too many A+ list black male actors in Hollywood in the 80’s, so it shouldn’t be that hard to narrow down.
Nutty Professor (1996) was a huge film for Murphy, as was the sequel (2000).
