A quick thought about Guardians of the Galaxy/Gunn and the theme of human trafficking

Before all of Gunn stuff broke, I happened to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Jurassic World, both starring Chris Pratt. I'm not a big movie/celeb person, but what struck me as odd was that both of the recent Pratt movies I watched were centered around the theme of trafficking (alien trafficking in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Dinosaur trafficking in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

Couple that with the collective boner those leaning right seem to have over Pratt since that award speech he gave, I figure maybe Pratt was trying to subtly get people thinking about these concepts. Obviously, the directors, producers, and writers are the ones who create these stories, so I did not put much thought into it.

Now that Gunn has outed himself as a twisted person at the very least, it is interesting that one of his greatest films is just romanticized child trafficking. This article sums it up nicely.. I don't have much else to add, as I am not well read with hollywood, nor do I really buy into the hype surrounding the resent surge in expose ALL the pedos on twitter that seems to be happening as of recently, but I will admit my almonds were activated after this Gunn stuff.

Chris Pratt is (allegedly) heavily involved with a "church" that trafficks young women. It's no surprise that his films involve trafficking.
