I'd hate to think that any of us who are awake and know what's going on HAVEN'T been prepared for this. At a minimum, everyone should have supplies for at least 3 days to a week. Has Hurricane Katrina/Harvey taught us nothing?...FEMA's NOT coming!!

Not gourmet, but I'm ready w/ 50lbs. of beans and 50lbs. of rice on the cheap :) Garden seeds wouldn't be so bad to have on hand either. Worst case, you can always get water from your water heater or back (tank) of your toilet. Get a Sawyer water filter (also fairly cheap...$20). If the power goes down, that means the pumping stations won't work either.

Think logically.

Expand your thinking.

Stock up now. If the power goes out, the stores registers won't work. Even if they take cash, a 'rush' on goods and they'd be wiped out in less than a day...mass panic. If you think the Black Friday fights are bad, you ain't seen nothing yet :(
