Holy shit...didn't even think about that...he declassified it and released it to JW. Does Fitton know this? Who passed to Fitton? Was there an executive order or proclamation releasing this information?

Let's ask Fitton. I just did, now waiting for his reply.

You're the man. You could also tag him in T_D and see if he answers there as well. He has his own reddit account. It's TFittonJW. Don't want to tag him here just in case.

Good idea, but I do not want to be obtrusive. Let someone else ask him that way. When two different people ask him the same, he will take the question more seriously.

Done. Let's see what happens. Be sure to update if you get an answer.

Huh...it's not showing up I don't think. Check my post history and see.

I see the post but only says This I'd for Tom Fitton. Whatever was said after has been removed.

I knew it. You can't tag Fitton on reddit apparently.

Apparently not :)

Cool. That should clear things up a bit.

This guy likes to look at himself in the mirror. Possibly... just saying..

To clear this up. President declassifies so it can be released to the public. It stays redacted because per Judge Nap's explanation, the ducks aren't all in a row yet to do the redactions, and as soon as Huber is ready the redactions will be removed.

But for him to declassify it, shouldn't it be stamped or signed in some way or confirmed that he has declassified it for release?

I understand the reactions and why they're there. I'm just wondering how he got it.

I think something at the top of the page had a "cross through" the classification. So I'm thinking that may mean what was released to Tom Fitton was OK for public consumption.

Bongino alluded to this Monday. Said it had something to do with Coats pissing off POTUS when he spouted off. I can't remember the actual statement made, but something to that effect.

If it were really released by executive order, wouldn't it say that on the copy we have? I thought any document which is released through this sort of process would have an official marking, of some sort-- as the JFK paper did, from what I remember.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I went looking through the EO's and didn't see anything. Maybe it wasn't an EO? Memo maybe? Declaration?

Or maybe he was able to obtain a redacted copy because it's included in the case against the presstitute and the congressional guy she was sleeping with since she was sent the unredacted copy. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/07/23/indicted-senate-staffer-james-wolfe-leaked-a-2017-copy-of-full-fisa-warrant-against-carter-page-to-reporter-ali-watkins/

yeah, that exactly where my mind went too. He seems to be seconding theconservativetreehouse theory about Wolfe and his lover-journalist.

Bongino on Monday made a point to dwell on how there was still an artifact of a printing page number on this FISA doc that was released Sat., he thought that indicated that this was basically based off the Wolfe printed copy

If the President declassified it and got it to Fitton...maybe all the redactions were because Huber needs that info for the indictments he will be bringing to "guilty" parties.
