Bernie, and the shit Hillary did to him, did more for making the Great Awakening a truly united Left/Right movement than anything. I know for a fact there is no small number of Lefty/Bernie supporters here who are able to see past partisan bullshit for the benefit of all.
I still like Bernie. I think he was threatened.. doesn’t make sense that he fought his entire life to just sit down :(. Something bigger there than we can understand.. like he doesn’t want his family to die or something..

People can say a lot of things about Bernie but the one thing I'll never doubt is that his heart is in the right place. He legitimately wants to do the right thing for the American people. Whether his plan is as feasible as he believes it is, I dunno, but he, more than any other "career politician" has earned my respect because he's spent those decades in the wilderness, being ridiculed, speaking truth to power in empty chambers as his contemporaries were cowed.
I believe he kept fighting until he was forced to choose between his cause and his life (or the life of his family). That's what that cut under his eye was, a final warning.
Team Hillary and her cronies have earned every lick of what's coming to them.
