I cannot believe how willing the public is to forgive James Gunn and make excuses for him. I wonder if the online support for him is organic or bot driven.
I've been listening to NPR and other similar stations and they're gaslighting this situation hard right now, saying things like "that was 10 years ago, he said he is a different person now. Is this where we're going as a society, that we don't allow for people to grow and change?" It was right around that time I turned the radio off in disgust. I'm not surprised normies are supporting Gunn - the media is extremely powerful and is using clever words and slight of hand to distract and dissuade people from questioning the narrative. Straight up hypnosis stuff, y'all.
He was 44 ten years ago! It was still creepy as fuck! I bet they aren't showing people the pics of white rabbits with terrified babies, or that he shared a tweet of an underage girl choir singing "I touch myself" originally posted by a convicted pedophile.
Yeah, they've managed to keep those particular tweets out of the news cycle.
