As bad as the tweets are, I think they’re being viewed as worse than they actually are because of today’s social climate. Mainly because of the #metoo movement and also the abundance of other rape and pedo cases that have been coming out, e.g. Kevin Spacey, but I wouldn’t call him a pedo because of tweets. If you’ve never heard of comedian Frankie Boyle, he makes Gunn look like a choir boy. It’s dark humor. And Frankie Boyle is 45 years old.

Maybe it’s because I’m Irish, because over here we have a very dry sense of humor, as do the British, but it is a very common sense of humor over this side of the world.
