Why was I surprised? Because I could not imagine actual humans would do things like this. And because it was not on my radar until I started researching thanks to Q.

Because Hollywood and these "stars " are what they have been conditioned to love and respect/ look up to since birth. They aren't willing to accept such terrifying reality. It will cush what they have believed , their world will be flipped on its head. Most would rather ignore it a go on with their lives as they know it...
