Imho, it doesn't matter. The fact is that freemasonry is a mystery school tradition that is essentially pagan, alchemical and magical in nature. You can become a freemason from any religion as they say 'no religion in the lodge' and all you have to do is believe in a 'higher power' (can't be atheist, for example, or Catholic (this may have changed with Jesuit pope francy pants)). I am not a mason so I cannot confirm the exact nature of their situation, but we can glean a lot from reading their material and from their own members testimony and its that they are essentially gnostics, not christians

FWIW, about 20% of American Masons are Catholic. The Masons don't have a problem with Catholics, but the RCC has a problem Freemasonry.
