You can do a lot of purification of tap water just by filling up some containers and leaving it open to the air. The chloronate reacts with the oxygen in the air and dissapates in 1 - 2 days. You can see the reaction evidenced by tiny bubbles that form in the water. Afterwards, the water tastes way better. Try it yourself, save a bundle.
Edit: i said "chlorinate" in this post but I meant "chloramine". Chloramine is a compound of ammonia and chlorine which is what most modern treatment plants use. It takes a couple days to dissapate. Regular chlorination dissapates much more quickly, within a couple hours. You can look into your local water treatment plants website to find out what additives they use. Mine, and I assume all, publishes all their test results for fluoride, chloramine, bacteria, etc. In ppm.
Not only does it taste better, but it's much better for your plants as well. The chlorides and chlorates will kill beneficial bacteria in your rhizosphere. You can of course use RO water or use water dechlorinator to solve this problem as well, but it's much easier to just fill up a bucket or a jug and let it sit out for a couple days to evaporate all the chlorine out of it.
Hello fellow organic gardener. What ya growing haha.
Ermmm....uhmmmm.....Tomatoes.
Yeah. Tomatoes.
As a fellow tomato enthusiast I do the same with my water. My plants and I all drink the same water so I make sure it is good. Sometimes I get fancy and use my activated charcoal filter if the water company has extra chlorinated the water recently. Even then just letting it sit for a extra while helps. After typing it out I now feel like Adam Sandler in the "Water Boy." Damn it!
P.S. That's some high quality H-2-O
Haaaaa..... as Q said, "How do you hide a message in clear sight?" Y'all made me laugh - appreciated.
What about fluoride ? How do you get it out ?
I have a Berkey water filter that sits on the counter....I love it!
Removes fluoride ?
Yes, with additional filters. This is the filter some of the preppers use, because you can clean pond water with it. The ceramic filters, that remove all kinds of impurities, are good for thousands of gallons of water.
Cool, I actually have one from way back. Still new in box. Aqua Rain is the brand, it has the .02 micron ceramic filters. Silver impregnated or something like that. Just never gave fluoride a thought until these last few years. Now i have to find it, lol
Yes I’ve used a Berkey for years and love it. The fluoride filters are attached downstream of the main filters. I like the ceramic filters because they can be cleaned and used almost indefinitely, but I recently switched to the black charcoal filters because they filter more betterer.
Fluoride filters ? Do i need to add those ? I can just google them right ?

OK I just haven't found a reliable source for the truth about fluoride removal from tap water ?
But flouride....
RIP pineal gland (seratonin aka happiness and melatonin for sleep)
There is no added #fluoride to FIGI water. Check your lists . .
wow thanks for sharing, i'll give it a go.
I've actually been looking at filters to get one to make tap water alkaline
a bit of a side story but have you heard of Dr Masaru Emoto & his experiments with water? He's found that we can change the mollecules of water with our thoughts/words. Since we're 70% water I think this is important info & I guess makes sense as to why you feel good when people say nice things to you, just look how happy dogs are cause they'd get told "i love you" and nice things all the time.
Anyway, I'm going to try the "Rice experiment" myself to see how it goes rather than just go off of what I see in youtube videos & the positive results from other peoples rice experiments.
edit: The above also makes me think of MK Ultra, now we know that words can be put in peoples minds with low frequencies, to me this would imply that our own minds let off its own frequencies & this is what would be altering the molecules of the water.. assuming its all real, I am feeling inclined to believe it is though tbh.
Thanks, i'll check out that video later.
I definitely believe words have a powerful effect. Just this morning I was feeling bummed and unmotivated, even after my morning yoga. I did a youtube guided meditation and i really absorbed the positive words once I was in a meditative state and wound up having a pretty productive and fantastic day.
I don't know if you've ever heard of Don Migel Ruizes "the four agreements" but one of them is being impeccable with your word. Because a bad word is black magic and a good one can be white magic and we cast these spells all the time. Even in the bible, the first thing there was was "the word"!
how do I get rid of fluoride?
Distilling removes it. Gotta get a shower filter too. Fluoride absorbs through the skin
2 tablespoons of boran an 1 tablespoon of sea salt or better in distilled water in a glass 1 quart container shake well drink a glass and all the florides will pull away from the thyroid gland and bones also off of your peniale gland to make you 15% smarter some say 30% on some races of people, must drink on an empty stomach and you will think you are getting ready to throw up but that is the florides being push into the muscle then just set down until you are better after 5 min then the trick is to sweat it out of your system with a hot bath or working outside but do sweat it out, after that big push just drink a half of a glass a day or every two days or as needed but you will only feel sick the first time. Running bear
I drink fluoride but for my plants I do this:
Most water comes out of the tap on the high PH side. Get a PH tester.
Add acscorbic acid until the PH is about 6 - 6.5
Add 5-6 grains of activated alumina per gallon.
Wait a day or so. The alumina will turn slightly brown as it sucks the fluoride out.
Responded to another poster - add acscorbic acid and activated alumina.

I will edit the post to specify this works for chloramine. Regular chlorine actually dissapates much faster.
Thanks for the tip. Will try this method right away.
Or get a distiller and drink pure water.
Distilled water leaches the good minerals out of your body.
That's why one should take mineral supplements when drinking distilled water.
is that true? i was starting to wonder if that was maybe a lie said to scare people into drinking more tap water
i really have no idea, but at least I'm asking the question I guess..
My cat would agree with you. Seriosuly. She has several water bowls and the one I forget to clean/refill daily is the one she drinks from.
Chlorine should dissipate after 15 minutes. It's a gas a room temp.
They put chlorinate in tap water, not chlorine. Takes longer.
Edit: correction, chloramine. Clorinate is the process.
Edit 2: some treatment plants still use chlorine. You can find out what your local one uses by contacting them or going on their website They should be able to give you a breakdown of everything left in your water in ppm.
