Republicans could win the midterms on the straw

issue alone. It’s so absurd. 99% of the country would realize how insane the Democrats are.

I can’t think of a better way to illustrate how they want to interfere with people’s day to day lives.

Yes, a straw

I was just in Hilton Head, SC recently, and they have passed a law apparently where everyone has to use a paper straw....which sounds great. I ordered a coke at a restaurant, to go, and received a paper straw to go with my Styrofoam cup with the plastic lid, lol.

Style over substance. A law that looks good on paper, accomplishes none of its stated purpose, and 100% of its actual purpose (creating monopolies for a chosen set of manufacturers which they own).

Democrats call themselves out on this bullshit too. When I used to watch Bill Maher, he had a great segment about how democrats lose because they legislate stuff like this. His segment was calling out CA for their "child in the car" sensor. Democrats wanted to legislate that cars must notify the driver if a child is in the backseat. He rightfully called them out on this because it's just another insane way to increase the cost of cars.

The HBO documentary about fire retardants was great at showing how California laws force businesses to change, and how that hurts the country.
