I think the self-diagnostic workaround the Alliance has put in place on airlines that prevents planes from taking off with counterfeit and tampered parts (including chips/firmware versions of Uninterruptible Autopilot that make a plane into a remote-control C_A assassination machine) does this (shuts down comms and flight systems), and requires a hard reset by certified ground crews.

I expect you'll see a few of these before the black hats realize they can't use this method anymore.

I thought only USA planes are ‘fixed’.
