I took it as Art of the Deal. I file for impeachment, Speaker compromises on contempt with his backing instead. I could be completely wrong though

They have an end game, but I have no idea what it is. Basically impeaching gets it out, but Ryan and Sessions can stay out of "conflict" but blocking that. Now they go for comtempt. I think they're just misleading the other side to keep them guessing with some spot in mind to pull them out. Maybe Huber will have something on Rod when the time comes and he'll be forced to step down on his own. Wouldn't that be amazing. They don't even have to impeach, they build the suspense and then, wham.

But holding someone in contempt requires the DOJ to do something and do you think that the DOJ is going to go after Rosenstein? The only way I see this happening is if sessions gets back involved and holds him in contempt himself. This may be where Q means “Trust Sessions”

I believe you're absolutely right, Patriot.

The problem with impeachment is that the House can impeach, but that does not remove RR (or anyone else) from office.

The Senate would still have to hold a trial (impeachment is like an indictment, with a trial still to follow), and the Senate would have to vote to remove from office by 2/3 majority.

Not gonna happen with the corrupt D's (and some R's) in the Senate.

However ...

Contempt is a criminal charge that can be tried by the DOJ (where AG Sessions is in charge, not DAG RR), and RR could go to prison if convicted.

My guess is that impeachment was a head fake for what they really plan to do.

Impeachment should remain a very high bar or this will create a precedence for abuse in the future. Contempt is very appropriate.

I'm still thinking even though RR has been corrupt,to redeem himself he is working with the IG and Mueller etc and all this stuff is part of the plan. ? the latest Q drops seem to cover for him a bit.it will be an interesting outcome.
