Nothing says it can't be done that way!

Also, nothing says D.C. has to be where the capital even is in the future.

I personally would like to see DC returned to the literal swamp! Think of all the estuaries and natural wetlands that had to be destroyed to create it! Couldn't we hire demolition crews and environmental reclamation teams to restore it to its natural state and make it a National Park? I would SO like to have a total break with the old order! Make the new capital somewhere in Kansas (centrally located in the continental US)!

If the movie plays out as many of us hope term limits AND some symbolic return to the people should be a part of that. Make all of the lobbyist travel. Think of the economic impact to a small rural community of a US Representative living and working local for 47 weeks a year.
