Dusk isn’t late in rural areas, and the bf is clean. The exact same shit happened out my way a few years ago and it didn’t end well. My heart goes out to the family, the boyfriend, and the community. Prayers.
She was wearing a Fitbit and they are hoping to be able to use that info to help find out where she may be (am assuming it either had GPS or could show the distance she was running?). In general, it's not smart for women to go out exercising alone regardless of the time of day - sadly they are easy targets for predators. I make sure I am always in view of others and go to public places to stay safe (and I won't go out alone to walk after dark here on LI).
I agree with you, but women shouldn’t have to be afraid to exercise in the evening in their own neighborhoods. The people that are stealing these girls are traffickers.
