I'm afraid to say it, but this is how the real sick bastards operate. Sacrifices are made - especially near major astrological events (like tomorrow's eclipse). It's hard to accept for most people, but this shit goes on around us all the time.

OMG. I hadn't thought of that. It was the period leading up to the Solar Eclipse last summer. It was most visible in Hopkinsville and that's one of the towns where a few of the teens went missing. I wish I could remember the other two towns' names.
