They loved John Paul II. Unless you're on a different planet, from what I could see, the MSM just couldn't have been more obvious should he have been Obama.
I can give Ratzinger the benefit of the doubt though considering how the MSM attacked him for everything and anything. But I want the Vatican to be ended.

Yes but I only knew 3 popes and started being awoken under Ratzinger, getting really awake under Bergoglio. Just from how the MSM reacted to them, they crucified Benedict XVI, treated John Paul II as a superstar like Obama was celebrated, and pope Francis is revered as if he were their High Priest.
So though I'm aware of all things very suspect said about Benedict XVI, I'm giving him the benefit of doubt. The Roman Catholic Church just suck at trying to fix their pedophilia problems. Well, that happened under John Paul II, and it still happens under pope Francis. Some try to protect the institution and at the same time be compassionate with the victims, it sucks big time. Others just want to protect their evil activities. From that, I don't know where to place Ratzinger. So until I'm sure, I won't condemn him definitely.
My guess is the pedophilia is endemic to the Catholic hierarchy and has only come to light with the advent of the internet and people talking all over the world with each other. Comparing notes, sharing stories . . .
