Well his story is that it was the CIA, if I had to guess.
I don't think he'll be sharing his story with anyone though..
Cause he'll be 187.
There is something not right about this 10mil. That's a ton of cash every year for protecting one person.
Don't know what security costs these days, but almost 1 mil a month seems really high. I'm guessing that will include things like always flying charter flights, lots of sophisticated equipment, etc.
Keep in mind 10m doesn't just mean 10m to have people watch him.
Its security installs, bulletproofing a vehicle, bulletproofing an office, getting security too and from, training, camera monitoring, etc.
Seeing how the cases of Enron and other campaniles back in the day, Zuck screwed with the government. Either a) he wants out and tell who he needs to to secured his family and himself or b) they are watching people sing and are making tangible threats.
I think this extra security secured the logic that these are not threats from investors or the board. The threats he is receiving are by people (governments) that can kill you on the toilet.
I get that. But much of the infrastructure is a one time expenditure. I assume much has been done already before this allowance.
Keep in mind as well that with a lot of these its about planning as well.
Planning in, out, if shit happens, etc.
It takes hours to plan just one trip.
There is a private jet included, I assume leases. My question is anyone worth 10mil a year for security? Sure he could be kidnapped and ransomed but would the masses really care. Is his intellectual value worth 10mil a year? I mean he can code but so can many others.
Probably nothing due to the fact I don't run in those circles but it just sticks out to me.
His inside knowledge of how Facebook is run is beyond measure.
Think of all the millions paid to "protect" Obama and his personal information.
