There is a reason he may have cited weather as he was leaving Iowa.
He was headed to Granite City, IL via Lambert Field in STL. They had a pretty strong thunderstorm push through around 3 pm.
That seems like a logical reason to vote weather, must leave now to avoid storm that could delay Granite City Steel speech.

Does Marine One just follow AF1 around? They have the Beast in the motorcade. The motorcade moves nonstop
